Henri Desportes

His novel The Freemason Jew, published in 1890, tells the story of a Jewish Freemason reigning over a village; this novel is classified in the most characteristic books of anti-Semitism of the time. His book, Killed by the Jews: April 1890: The Story of a Ritual Murder, is based on a crime that allegedly took place in Algeria and revived a charge of a ritual crime against the Jews. This accusation would be repeated in an Arabic book of 20012
