Mark Weber was born in 1951 in Portland, Oregon, where he was also raised. He studied history at the University of Illinois (Chicago), the University of Munich (Germany), and Portland State University, from where he received a bachelor's degree in history (with high honors). Since 1995 Weber has been director of the Institute for Historical Review, which until the early 2000s was a leading revisionist history educational center and publisher based in southern California. For nine years he was editor of the IHR's former Journal of Historical Review.

For his series of “Extraordinary Revisionists,” Jim Rizoli has created a Skype interview with Mark Weber, Director of the Institute for Historical Review. This series of two papers critically analyzes Weber's statements.

The portrayal of Hitler and his regime is GROTESQUELY unbalanced. Not only in the "mass media" but even in the supposedly "authoritative history books" and reference works about that era of history.

With its 24-hour 50,000-watt signal, and enormous listening audience in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, KFI is easily the biggest talk-radio station on the west coast. And Ted O'Keefe and Mark Weber were scheduled for a live in-studio debate with Aaron Breitbart, senior researcher from the Los Angeles-based Simon Wiesenthal Center. Breitbart chickened out at the last minute, so for over 2 hours — from 7:30 PM until 10:00 PM — on the evening of December 17, 1990, roughly a million KFI listeners from as far away as Oregon and Texas got an unforgettable dose of history in accord with the facts. This is probably the most effective case for Holocaust revisionism ever carried over the airwaves. Mark Weber and Ted O'Keefe :: 1990 - KFI AM 640 Los Angeles.
