Forensic Research

History has three legs to stand on: witness accounts, documents, and, least corruptible, material traces of objects and events. The latter are the focus of forensic research. When it comes to the mass murder of six million civilians in central Europe within the years 1941-1944, one would expect not only a vast amount of material traces of such a butchery, but also, and most certainly, a large amount of field work carried out in order to investigate any such evidence. Yet orthodox scholars never troubled themselves with this kind of fundamental inquiry, at least until revisionists started rocking the boat. Here are listed papers dealing with forensic investigation of the (alleged) traces of the Holocaust.

  • The Lüftl Report

In March 1992, a prominent Austrian engineer made headlines when a report he had written about alleged German wartime gas chambers was made public. Walter Lüftl concluded in his controversial report, “Holocaust: Belief and Facts,” that the well-known stories of mass extermination of Jews in gas chambers at the wartime camps of Auschwitz and Mauthausen…

  • An Official Polish Report on the Auschwitz “Gas Chambers'

A recent investigation by a Polish government agency has authoritatively corroborated the findings of Fred Leuchter from his detailed 1988 on-site forensic examination of supposed German wartime extermination gas chambers. The American execution expert concluded that the “gas chambers” in the former concentration camps of Auschwitz, Birkenau and Majdanek were never used to kill people….

  • The End of a Myth

Despite the May 11 conviction of Revisionist activist and publisher Ernst Zündel in Toronto for “knowingly and injuriously spreading a false report,” the second trial of Ernst Zündel was a Pyrrhic victory for Holocaust Exterrninationists. As in Zündel’s 1985 trial, Revisionist scholars and researchers presented a mass of new evidence against the Holocaust legend, evidence…

  • Doors & Portholes

As I illustrated with my slide presentation at the 1980 Revisionist Convention at Pomona College, Claremont, California, one of the most blatant examples of Holocaust forgery is in the access to the “gas chambers.” Auschwitz I At Auschwitz I there are no less than five doors or doorways giving access to the “gas chamber.” There…

  • Lids and openings

Let us now examine the various claims made about the “lids and openings” in the ceilings of the “gas chambers” and compare the allegations with the forensic reality, and with each other. We notice first of all that here, as with other such matters, an evolutionary process is in progress. At first the allegations were…

  • The Openings for the Introduction of Zyklon B, Part 1

    1. Transformations of Crematorium I (1944 – 1947) During a visit to Auschwitz on July 16, 1944, SS-Obergruppenführer Pohl approved the “Installation of a gas-tight surgery and fragment-proof shelter in the former crematorium for the garrison surgeon”,[1] which became work-site BW 98M. On August 26, 1944, SS Obersturmführer Heinrich Josten who held the post of…

  • The Openings for the Introduction of Zyklon B, Part 2

    1. Analysis of a Forensic Investigation 1.1. Introduction In the spring of 2004, Daniel Keren, Jamie McCarthy, and Harry W. Mazal published, as part of the Holocaust History Project, an article entitled “The Ruins of the Gas Chambers: A Forensic Investigation of Crematoriums at Auschwitz I and Auschwitz-Birkenau.”[1] In that study, the authors deal with…

  • The Elusive Holes of Death

On August 28, 2002, Sven Felix Kellerhoff of the German daily newspaper Die Welt expressed his anger about the semi-revisionist theories of Fritjof Meyer, a leading editor of Germany’s largest news magazines Der Spiegel. In 2002, Meyer had published an article, in which he reduced the death toll of Auschwitz down to half a million…

  • “No Holes, No Gas Chamber(s)”

When American expert for execution techniques Fredrick A. Leuchter presented his famous expert report on the gas chambers of Auschwitz and Majdanek to a Canadian court in 1988, he initially caused confusion: in his technical drawings of the morgues no. 1 of the crematoria II and III of Auschwitz-Birkenau, which allegedly served as “gas chambers,”…
