Hellmuth Auerbach (born 1930; died 2 Jan. 2001) was a German mainstream historian who worked from 1952 until 1995 at the government-owned Munich Institut für Zeitgeschichte (Institute for Contemporary History) as one of its most prolific promoter of the orthodox Holocaust narrative.
