Forensic Research

History has three legs to stand on: witness accounts, documents, and, least corruptible, material traces of objects and events. The latter are the focus of forensic research. When it comes to the mass murder of six million civilians in central Europe within the years 1941-1944, one would expect not only a vast amount of material traces of such a butchery, but also, and most certainly, a large amount of field work carried out in order to investigate any such evidence. Yet orthodox scholars never troubled themselves with this kind of fundamental inquiry, at least until revisionists started rocking the boat. Here are listed papers dealing with forensic investigation of the (alleged) traces of the Holocaust.

The Leuchter Report, Revisited

It has been some ten years since my critical analysis of Kenneth Stern's Critique of the Leuchter Report. This article takes a new look at that report, providing additional information and analysis.[*] I identified ten of Mr. Leuchter's 32 samples as deriving from sheltered locations: samples 4-6 from Krema II and samples 25-31 from Krema…

Open Air Incinerations in Auschwitz: Rumor or Reality?

Many former inmates as well as guards of the former National Socialist concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau claim that hundred thousands of corpses of murdered inmates were burned in ditches some 6 to 10 ft. deep. However, almost every book about Auschwitz points out that the entire grounds in and around the camp were swampy in those…

Some Preliminary Observations on the Charles D. Provan booklet “No Holes? No Holocaust?”

The Provan booklet provides us with a wealth of interesting information regarding the alleged “Zyklon-B introduction holes” in the roof of Leichenkeller I. Mr. Provan has also drawn a number of contentious conclusions from the material evidence which he has presented as proof of the wartime existence of such holes. I would like to draw…

Additional Comments on the Provan booklet “No Holes? No Holocaust?”

The Provan study provides for us much more than a telling material study of the concrete ruins of Leichenkeller I of Krematorium II. It is also a valuable compendium of what can only be described as untrustworthy witness descriptions of the necessary “Zyklon B introduction holes” and of the questionable photographic presentations thereof. I. Wartime…
