The worst attacks Holocaust revisionism has ever suffered always came from within: The in-fighting between the Institute for Historical Review and Willis Carto (the founder and main financier of the IHR) starting in the mid-1993. This had been triggered by a 7+million-dollar bequest of the Farrel Estate to the Legion for the Survival of Freedom, Inc. (the IHR’s umbrella organization). The resulting legal battle squandered these millions mostly with legal fees, and destroyed the IHR as a viable organization. Next came the extortion attempts by Michael Santomauro in late 2023/early 2024, who, as a board member of the Bradley Smith 2014 Charitable Trust (also doing business as the Committee for Open Debate on the HOLOCAUST, CODOH), gained control of almost all of CODOH’s essential assets (including its subsidiary Castlehill Publishing). He abused this position of control to deny all other members of the CODOH Board of Trustees any access to those assets, to shut down all websites and to seize books worth some $100,000 in retail value. He then used that “leverage” to blackmail CODOH for huge sums of money in return for a promised release of these assets. The CODOH Board of trustees refuses to negotiate with extortionists, blackmailers and other criminals, however. We decided instead to regroup, reorganize, and start all over again, without wasting anyone’s money, time or energy with infighting. Just keep in mind that the true enemy of Holocaust revisionism does not sit in Washington, New York, Berlin, or Jerusalem. He sits on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina – until the day when he quits his evil ways and gives back what is not his.
The Committee for Open Debate on the Holocaust and related publishing companies have suffered a major attack, with all our Internet servers disconnected. As you have noticed, we are currently unable to maintain our valuable Revisionist Forum, our Library of articles and research material, or any of the many other services CODOH provided. Castle Hill Publishing is unable to fill orders for books, because its entire inventory has been taken hostage. (You can order their range of books, published under license, at www.armreg.co.uk, though). At this point, CODOH has been forced into the dark.
But we at CODOH are fighting hard to defeat this attack, and we are already in the process of recovering fully from the damage inflicted. Truth will prevail!
The website Holocaust Handbooks has been relaunch in a new format, yet without any data loss – in fact, when relaunching, we took the opportunity not only to modernize the site and streamline user experience, but we actually add more data, and updated the entire website.
Right now, volunteers are in the process of extracting and reformatting all backed-up data for the CODOH Library, whose new database framework is being prepared for a re-upload of all data. This may take a week or two, hopefully not much more. This new CODOH Library will also be more modern and more streamlined. Inconvenient History (IH) has all data within the Library, so once we have that data neatly back in place, IH will also be resurrected.
We furthermore have a complete backup of the vho.org archives. This content will be integrated into the new CODOH Library, once we have the Library back up and running.
The CODOH Forum will be next in line. We are still hoping to recruit volunteers to help us with that. This can be redeployed independent of the Library, as both are strictly separate entities.
Please bear with us, while we make the impossible happen.

Germar Rudolf was born on October 29, 1964, in Limburg, Germany. He studied chemistry at Bonn University, where he graduated in 1989 as a Diplom-Chemist, which is comparable to a U.S. PhD degree. From 1990-1993 he prepared a German PhD thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in conjunction with the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Parallel to this and in his spare time, Rudolf prepared an expert report on chemical and technical questions of the alleged gas chambers of Auschwitz, The Rudolf Report (now titled The Chemistry of Auschwitz). He conclude in it that "the alleged facilities for mass extermination at Auschwitz and Birkenau were not suited for the purpose as claimed." As a result he had to endure severe measures of persecution in subsequent years. Hence he went into British exile, where he started the small revisionist outlet Castle Hill Publishers. When Germany asked Britain to extradite Rudolf in 1999, he fled to the U.S. There he applied for political asylum, expanded his publishing activities, and in 2004 married a U.S. citizen. In 2005, the U.S. recognized Rudolf's marriage as valid and seconds later arrested and subsequently deported him back to Germany, where he was put in prison for 44 months for his scholarly writings. Some of the writings he got punished for had been published while Rudolf resided in the U.S., where his activities were and are perfectly legal. Since not a criminal under U.S. law, he managed to immigrate permanently to the U.S. in 2011, where he rejoined his U.S. citizen wife and daughter. He currently resides in Upstate New York.
