Tyler Gatewood Kent (March 24, 1911 – November 20, 1988) was a U.S. diplomat working as a cipher clerk at the U.S. Embassy in London during World War II. Due to the documents going through his hands, he realized how the U.S. and Britain conspired to initiate and escalate WWII. When he tried to blow the whistle on this, he was arrested, prosecuted and incarcerated.
