Author: Revilo P. Oliver

Revilo Pendleton Oliver (born July 7, 1908, Corpus Christi, TX; died Aug. 20, 1994) was a U.S. professor of Classical philology, Spanish and Italian at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was a co-founder of the John Birch Society in 1958, where he published in its magazine, American Opinion, before resigning in 1966. From 1980 until his death in August 1994, he was a member of The Journal of Historical Review's Editorial Advisory Committee.
