Adolf Hitler Operation Barbarossa 1941
In this 36 minute video (in German with English subtitles), Adolf Hitler speaks about the progress of the anti-Soviet campaign in Russia, in October 1941, some months after the pre-emptive strike in June 1941. Adolf Hitler tells of his attempts to reach an understanding with the USSR, but as he says, they didn't play "by the rules". Adolf Hitler came to the conclusion that the USSR was massing for an attack, especially with the building of airfield after airfield. Eventually the USSR made four demands, on Germany regarding Finland, Romania, Bulgaria and the Dardenelles, which Adolf Hitler was unable to comply with. By May 1941, Adolf Hitler was convinced that the USSR was going to attack, and mindful of his responsibility to the German people launched his attack first.
