Auschwitz Museum Spokesman on the Swimming Pool (43 Secs.)
In this short clip, an Auschwitz Museum spokesman stands near the Swimming Pool. He claims that it was used by Gypsy children at the (no 1) camp, and says that there were boxing matches, and other events, at the "Death" camp. There was a soccer field at Birkenau (no 2) camp, near the crematorium as well. The idea no doubt was to let the spectators and players witness the "gassing" and "cremation" of a train full of a thousand jews. Obviously, the German talent for organisation had entirely failed at Auschwitz.
