The Enigma of the Führer by Léon Degrelle (31:45 min)
In this superb video (31 minutes) we hear about the Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler, from an individual prominent in the National Socialist cause. Leon Degrelle was born in Belgium in 1906. Brought up a Catholic in the Walloon (French speaking) area of Belgium, he was heavily involved in Catholic activities. In the 1930s, he transformed a Catholic printing house into a political party. This party was called Rexist, from Christ the King, in latin, Christus Rex. The Rexist party gained prominence until concerted opposition from anti-Rexist elements in the Church and Government kept the party from gaining ground. Belgium is also a country divided between Walloons (French-speakers) who supported Belgium unity, and Flemings (Dutch-speakers) who sought union with Holland. Leon, supported Belgium neutrality and was as a result, taken into protective custody by the government. Some 44 Rexists were murdered in cold blood at this time. Released, he attempted to rebuild the Rexist movement. In 1941, following Hitler's pre-emptive strike against the USSR, Leon formed the Walloon legion and fought on the Eastern front. Later, it became an elite Waffen SS unit. Leon rose through the ranks, from private to General. He was very brave, recieving the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, then with the Oak Leaves, and being wounded 34 times in battle. In 1944, Leon was stripped of his citizenship, and in absentia, sentenced to death. Leon, fled Germany to Norway, and flew to Spain, where he survived the plane crashing. In 1960, Leon returned to public life in Spain. He wrote several books, exposing the "Holocau$t" as a lie. He died in 1994 in Malaga, Spain.
