Germar Rudolf was born on October 29, 1964, in Limburg, Germany. He studied chemistry at Bonn University, where he graduated in 1989 as a Diplom-Chemist, which is comparable to a U.S. PhD degree. From 1990-1993 he prepared a German PhD thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in conjunction with the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Parallel to this and in his spare time, Rudolf prepared an expert report on chemical and technical questions of the alleged gas chambers of Auschwitz, The Rudolf Report (now titled The Chemistry of Auschwitz). He conclude in it that "the alleged facilities for mass extermination at Auschwitz and Birkenau were not suited for the purpose as claimed." As a result he had to endure severe measures of persecution in subsequent years. Hence he went into British exile, where he started the small revisionist outlet Castle Hill Publishers. When Germany asked Britain to extradite Rudolf in 1999, he fled to the U.S.. There he applied for political asylum, expanded his publishing activities, and in 2004 married a U.S. citizen. In 2005, the U.S. recognized Rudolf's marriage as valid and seconds later arrested and subsequently deported him back to Germany, where he was put in prison for 44 months for his scholarly writings. Some of the writings he got punished for had been published while Rudolf resided in the U.S., where his activities were and are perfectly legal. Since not a criminal under U.S. law, he managed to immigrate permanently to the U.S. in 2011, where he rejoined his U.S. citizen wife and daughter. He currently resides in Texas.

Dr. Robert H. Countess was born in 1938 near Huntsville, AL. He graduated from Huntsville High School in 1955. After three years in the Army, he began his life-long learning by studying at Bob Jones University where he received his B.A. in Religion and English; M.A. in Religion, and Ph.D. in New Testament Greek. He also received an M.L.S. in Humanities and Philosophy from Georgetown University, and studied at numerous other universities. Receiving his ordination in 1965, he was the pastor of churches in New Jersey, Tennessee, Virginia, and Alabama. He served as Chaplain at Redstone Arsenal from 1980 to 1984, served in the Alabama National Guard, and retired from the U.S. Army as Captain in 1997.
He was a college professor, lecturer, and published author. His zest for learning and adventure took him around the world where he taught and lectured on New Testament Greek in the Netherlands, Ukraine, Australia, South Africa, and throughout Europe. His extracurricular interests led him to help found the Prince William Elders Soccer Club in Manassas, VA, and he was instrumental in founding the Huntsville Adult Soccer League. He was also an active member of the North Alabama Table Tennis Club, and twice represented the state of Alabama at the U.S. Senior Olympics. Among his passions were traveling, old French cars, table tennis, and soccer.
When teaching History 102 at the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1986/87, he was the first (and so far last) professor in the USA to use Arthur Butz's Hoax of the Twentieth Century in his class as required reading. The publisher of this book, the Institute for Historical Review, was rather surprised by Dr. Bob's activities and invited him to their conference. Dr. Bob later became a board member of the Institute.
When Dr. Bob learned about the 1993 master thesis by Joel Hayward on revisionism (The Fate of Jews in German Hands: An Historical Enquiry into the Development and Significance of Holocaust Revisionism), he was so eager to see it published that in 1995 he founded the non-profit publishing company "Theses & Dissertations Press" for this purpose. Although Hayward's thesis never got published, T&DP subsequently turned into a major outlet of Holocaust revisionist books, foremost of the series Holocaust Handbooks under the aegis of Germar Rudolf.
Dr. Bob died on March 18, 2005, at age 67.
Two American Revisionists, Robert Countess and the late Bradley Smith plus Australian John Bennett share their fascinating insights at the 13th Institute of Historical Review conference.
