In this video clip, (26 minutes) reel 2 of 8 black and white and colour (soundless) films taken by Eva Braun, future wife of Adolf Hitler, or her friends is shown. The films were taken in or near the Burghof, near Berchtesgaden, Bavaria. Eva was Hitler's girlfriend from 1932, and by 1936 a part of Hitler's household. Eva is shown swimming with friends, chatting with her friends and their children, and with her two Scottish terriers (Negus and Stasi). Hitler is seen with his party comrades, friends and staff, including Himmler, Goebbels, Heydrich, Bormann, his Doctor Theo Morell, and Albert Speer. Two scenes in the films were taken at nearby lakes, where Eva and her friends, laugh, and frolic, Eva's sister, Margarete ("Gretl") is also shown.
