Great Video on Slavery Must Watch.

This is a video (54 minutes) produced by an individual of mixed heritage – White European, Black Afican and native American. His history is bound in with all this groups, but he is very interested in Slavery which his ancestors endured. Here he gives a damming indictment of slavery. He shows the origins of slavery, who were the slave traders, where they came from, where they were based, and their evil methods to exploit individuals not only Africans, but native Americans. He shows that Columbus were persuaded by five "marranos" in his crew to kidnap individuals as slaves. Marranos were Jews who had pretended to convert to the Christian faith in order to remain in Spain. However, very soon all Jews were expelled from Spain in 1492 and from Portugal, five years later. most of these expellees ended up in "liberal" Holland where they set up a company to trade with the West Indies. Soon they were leaving Holland to settle in the Dutch areas in the Americas – New Amsterdam, for example. Later New Amsterdam was captured by the British and became New York. A sizable number of Jewish communities became established in the British American colonies, at New York, Charles Town (later renamed Charleston), Richmond, Philadelphia, Savannah and Newport, (Rhode Island). The video shows how Jewish merchants in Newport began trading with native Americans, trading cheap trinklets and rum for valuable furs. Over twenty distilleries were set up in Newport to faciliate this trade. The video, shows how Jewish slave traders in Newport started the same corrupting methods with black Africans. Rum and items of little value were traded for items of value. The Africans were soon corrupted completely, selling their wives and using weapons supplied by the Jewish slave dealers to seize other Africans to sell as slaves. The video follows a ship owned by a very wealthy Jewish slave dealer in Newport, called Aaron Lopez. The ship was called the Abigail and was captained by a Jewish Captain named Freedman. Huge amounts of Rum  were loaded to help subvert and corrupt the Africans. This video names names, their ships, their influcence, and the development of slavery in the British American Colonies, and then into the United States. Details of the numbers of slaves sold, traded, shipped across the Atlantic, with large numbers dying on the voyage over.
