Auschwitz

Some 20% of post-war Polish territory is made up of former German lands; hence, some 20% of today’s Polish towns and cities once bore German names. All place names have long since been Polonized – all, except for one town, which displays bilingual entry signs: Auschwitz. Ethnically speaking, Oswiecim was never German. So why would the fiercely nationalistic Poles retain the Germanized name? Because it is big business. For the world at large, Auschwitz is synonymous with the Holocaust, and it represents the pinnacle of Nazi evil. Yet here we do not focus on the symbol which Auschwitz has become, but on the Auschwitz camp and its numerous satellite camps, such as Birkenau, Monowitz, Harmense, Raisko, etc.

Delousing American Style

The National Socialist government of Germany was neither the first nor the last to deal with health issues resulting from concentrating large populations in confined areas. It is unfortunately typical that many who consider the accounts of witnesses of the Nazi concentration camp system view this time and the events which have come to be…

How to Escape from a Homicidal Gas Chamber – In an Even Easier Way

In Smith's Report #149 (April 2008) I published an article called “Experto Crede, or How to Escape from a Homicidal Gas Chamber”, devoted to a special category of Shoah survivors: those resourceful Jewish fellows who saw one of the fabled Nazi homicidal gas chambers from the inside, and then escaped from it to tell their…

The Walls of Auschwitz

Three main chemical investigations have been performed concerning residual cyanide in the walls of alleged ‘gas chambers’ at Auschwitz: by Leuchter, Rudolf and by Markiewicz. Over the two decades since Leuchter first sampled, debates have raged concerning where the samples were taken from, whether it was really ‘historic’ brickwork, how porous the brickwork was to…

Mengele: The Complete Story

Mengele: The Complete Story, by Gerald L. Posner and John Ware (McGraw-Hill, New York 1986). Gerald Posner is a Jewish-American journalist, born in 1954 and perhaps most well-known for his book Case Closed: Lee Harvey Oswald and the Assassination of JFK (1993). In it, Posner asserts that virtually all of the findings of the Warren…

Leuchter Twenty Years On (2008)

Ask anyone in the UK who has heard of the Leuchter Report and you can be fairly sure they will tell you the same thing: it has been ‘discredited.’ But –“behold, O Dionysus,” as Nietzsche would have said, “I sing a new song”: there are two different references we need to fully unpack the meaning…

The 20th Anniversary of the Leuchter Report

Arguably the most important of all Revisionist studies, The Leuchter Report: An Engineering Report on the Alleged Execution Gas Chambers at Auschwitz, Birkenau and Majdanek, Poland celebrates the twentieth anniversary of its publication this year. Although most revisionists are familiar with the background of this trailblazing work, a brief review is called for. In 1988…

Barack Obama’s Jive and Wail

Among Arabian myths, few stories have excited our imagination more than Ali Baba and his Forty Thieves. As Ali Baba recited the words “Open Sesame,” the sealed doors to a lair full of unimaginable riches mysteriously opened. In a similar manner, western politicians profanely invoke the secret word “Auschwitz” in the expectation that it will…
