World War II

On 8 May 1995, the British prime minister, John Major, referred to the end of World War II as the end of a thirty years’ war; in this, he was correct: both sides saw this war as an attempt to complete a task left undone at the close of the First World War – the show-down which ended European global domination. The Second World War was, however, the ultimate catastrophe of modern history, laying waste the heart and soul of Europe. Here you will find contributions about this conflict, its prelude, conduct, and personalities – excluding non-military Nazi personalities, which are covered under the entry “Third Reich Era.” Also covered are contributions dealing with war crimes (and lies about alleged war crimes) committed in the course of the conflict. This does not include the “Holocaust,” which has a separate entry (and is not a war crime in the strict sense).

A Revisionist Reading List

Partly for the bibliographic record, we have begun a preliminary list of some key Revisionist titles and papers spanning several subjects. Although it has been argued that revisionism is as old as history itself, here we will begin with the First World War. The first group of revisionists sought to revise the harsh Treaty of…

Who started WWII?

By Wilfried Heink- On Thursday, June 4, 2009 an article appeared in The Washington Post, titled “Russian military historian blames Poland for WWII”. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/06/04/AR2009060402281.html The Poles protested, of course, but it appears that here too history is being re-written, as is the case with “Barbarossa”. Following WWII, authors like Annelies von Ribbentrop and Heinrich Härtle…

he current issue of Michael Shermer’s glossy newsstand magazine, Skeptic features his article “The New Revisionism: Would we be better off if Hitler had won?” Those familiar with Shermer and Skeptic recognize that while Shermer has covered topics such as Holocaust Revisionism, 9-11 theories, and Intelligent design, the magazine upholds only the orthodox view of…

A troubling symptom of revisionism

Lithuanian-born Yitzhak Arad (b. 1926) is one of the most prominent orthodox "Holocaust" historians. After illegally entering Palestine in 1945, he started a military career within the Zionist militias and terrorist groups that later evolved into the Israeli Defense Force. Eventually he reached the rank of brigadier general and was appointed to the post of…

I must express my thanks to those who have, with immense courage, made it possible to organise and hold such a conference as ours. This date of December 11-12, in this magnificent capital, could truly be a turning point in world history, I’m not afraid to say so; it marks the real beginning of the…

Gaskeller: New Document Sheds Light on Irving’s Interpretation of Auschwitz

A document, long known and long sought by revisionists, was published in a brochure by a Holocaust memorial group in Germany in preparation to a public exhibition shortly before David Irving was arrested and imprisoned in Austria.  The document clearly supports the contention, made by Arthur Butz, and several others, including David Irving, that the…
