Fellow Inmate Said We are Building a Gas Chamber (1:56 min)

In this short clip, a former Terezin prisoner Kurt Goldschmidt relates that tired of his old job, he was given a new one. This was blocking up firing slits in order to make the building an air raid shelter. During the process, another prisoner told Goldschmidt that they were building a "gas chamber" in which they would be gassed. Goldschmidt states that nobody believed the prisoner's yarn about a "gas chamber". Was Goldschmidt telling the truth when he related this story, as there were no "gas chambers" at Terezin? Or was the prisoner talking about the "gas chamber" saying it so to scare the prisoners?
