Rudolf and Verbeke charged with ThoughtCrimes in Germany

Revisionist author and researcher Germar Rudolf and publisher Siegfried Verbeke have been charged with incitement according to German prosecutors.

Both Germar Rudolf and Siegfried Verbeke are accused of “systematically” denying or playing down the Nazi genocide of Europe's Jews in documents and on the Internet and of stirring anti-Semitic hatred, prosecutors in the western city of Mannheim said.

“Denial” of any part or aspect of the Holocaust is a crime in Germany, where it carries a maximum sentence of five years.

Rudolf, 41, is best known for his book, The Rudolf Report which analyzed chemical and technical aspects of the “gas chambers” of Auschwitz. Although he was married to an American and had applied for political asylum, the United States deported Rudolf to Germany in November to serve a 14-month sentence for a 1995 conviction on similar charges. Although protected by the First Amendment in the United States, the United States was complicit in the deportation and incarceration of Rudolf for his activities as a writer and publisher.

Siegfried Verbeke, a 64-year-old Belgian, was arrested in the Netherlands and also was extradited to Germany in November.
