Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has blotted his Politically Correct copy book at the unveiling of Canada latest Holocaust Memorial when it was noticed that the memorial was missing any reference to Jewish people.

Sweet is on the steering committee of the Canadian Parliamentary Coalition to Combat Antisemitism.
The CPCCA is very concerned with what it calls "new antisemitism," things like Holocaust Revisionism, expressing too much sympathy for oppressed Palestinians or support for the BDS movement.
The adamancy of Sweet in promoting the Holocaust as "a Jewish thing" is odd. Even Jewish groups have opened up “Victim-of-the-Nazis” status to a more diverse rainbow of groups, all allegedly thrown into gas chamber-showers by evil Germans. But this attachment to the Holocaust tale seems common among western politicians.
One can understand why groups like the ADL or World Jewish Congress promote belief in the Holocaust story. The question is why do western politicians, and particularly German politicians,
partake of the discredited narrative to the extent of denying their own constituents rights of free speech and historical debate. What is disconcerting is that not one of these politicians seems to know the slightest thing of recent main stream research.
At her May 2008 appearance at the Knesset, Angela Merkel said, "The mass murder of 6 million Jews, carried out in the name of Germany, has brought indescribable suffering to the Jewish people, Europe and the entire world.” She said Germans were “filled with shame” over the Nazi Holocaust." Then she started blubbering.
