Ernst Zundel interviews Hans Schmidt May 1999.
In another one of his Voice of Freedom broadcasts by his publishing company, Samisdat, Ernst Zundel interviews Hans Schmidt in May 1999. Hans was born on April 24, 1927 in Volklingen, Germany. He joined the Waffen SS (the armed branch of the SS) in 1943 at the age of 16. He served as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the elite 1st SS Panzer Division Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler. [Note: First SS Armored Division Adolf Hitler Lifeguards]. He served in Hungary, Austria and France, being wounded twice. He emigrated in 1947 to the United States, becoming an US citizen in 1949. In 1983 he founded the German-American National Political Action Committee (GANPAC) to represent Americans of German descent. GANPAC donated money to American political groups. GANPAC also promoted books that exposed the "Holocau$t" atrocity lie as hate propaganga. The offices of GANPAC in Santa Monica was subsequently firebombed. Hans wrote a large number of books, one of these detailling his service in World War II was called SS Panzergrenardier: A True Story of World War II. Here Hans tells Ernst about his remarkable life. Sadly, Hans passed away in 2010 aged 83.
