Memorabilia: The Life and Death of Heinrich Himmler – David Irving
David Irving gives us "the other version" of the Life and Death of Heinrich Himmler.
In this video (One hour and 22 minutes) produced by Focal Point publications, the brilliant best selling author from England, an incredible researcher, and a fantastic speaker (very witty!), talks about Heinrich Himmler, the leader of the SS in the Third Reich, to a enthusiatic American audience. David states that Heinrich created the incredible Waffen-SS (Armed SS) from scratch, which at one time, numbered over a million soldiers. The Waffen-SS were elite troops and were the best troops on the battlefield in the war of 1939 to 1945. Heinrich wanted quality rather than quantity. The Waffen-SS were raised from essentially the General SS – a part of the NSDAP [National Socialist German Workers Party]. The General SS were Schutz Staffel (Protection Squads) raised for the protection of party speakers from Communist and Social Democrat thugs, who attempted to smash up NSDAP meetings. David explains the meaning of the "Totenkopt" [Death's Head] symbol worm by the SS on their headgear, faithful to death. David explains the origin of the symbol. David speaks at length about the SS and Himmler, in the first part of his speech, then goes to talk about Himmler and the "Holocau$t", Himmler's childhood, and finally, Himmler's actions at the time of the July Bomb plot against Adolf Hitler. Another fantastic speech by David whose research is much appreciated by the receptive audience.
