German Facebook Trap
Because a man in Germany felt upset during a Facebook exchange over the denial of deliberate murder of Palestinans by Israelis, he posted a satirical comment that, "after all these lies, I slowly get to doubt the truth of the Holocaust." "It's all fake! All propaganda! Where is the evidence! Seen that way, the Jews have only themselves to blame for the HC of the 2nd World War." With statements like this and attacks on the State of Israel and Jewish Israelis, he caused the German authorities to clamp down on him. On Nov. 9, 2015, the defendant was sentenced for inciting the masses in a way capable of endangering public peace—with a Facebook post read by 34(!) people!
The defendant stated in his defense that he actually never doubted the Holocaust story and said all this only to provoke the deniers of Israel's murderous actions against the Palestinians. The court believed him and thus limited the verdict to a fine of 5,000 Euro.
