This 3 minute clip tells of the RAF bombing of Hamburg. In July 1943, the RAF  launched a massive bomber raid (Operation Gomorrah) on Hamburg on the orders of Winston (Spencer-) Churchill with the aim to kill as many German civilians as possible. An war crime, it killed an estimated 37,000 civilians and wounded 180,000 more in Hamburg and virtually destroyed the city.
